Born To Be Wise

by Rochelle Soetan

What did you come here for? Who are you? Did you come with an action plan? An agenda? Are you committed? Do you know how to reach of your greatest potential? Can you see the opportunities being presented to you? Can you change your direction? How free do you really want to be?

Life bears, what seems to be, so many complex questions, and as far as we can tell, just as many overwhelming answers. In fact, there may be even more answers than questions. What is certain, is that there is a wealth of information, floating about, that we have yet to discover. That much more makes it possible than we assume. This month’s historic Great Eclipse brings us to a pivotal point where we can get support, if we listen and allow, for many of our questions, and learn something new about why we are here and where we are going.

This period, as you know, is a very historic time in the history of humanity. It’s a very crucial time in the lives of many people. It’s a turning point for the entire planet. There are many things going on at the moment and there are many issues being raised. There are many powerful experiences happening in all of our lives. There’s also a feeling that something is changing – and what we’re unsure of – is if it’s changing for the better or for the worse. What we are sure of is that it’s powerful, it’s undeniable, and it’s unstoppable. So how do we fit into this enormous jigsaw puzzle?

Deepak Chopra once said, “There are no extra pieces in the universe. Everyone is here because he or she has a place to fill, and every piece must fit itself into the big jigsaw.”

We all have a place to fill and this is no easy task. We’ve all fought fears, buried bewildering battles, and faced complicated challenges. But we cannot ever be bound by those; we must take off the mask and take a risk. Often, risks allow us to try new things we never would have otherwise, to see failures as opportunities for growth, and to acquire a sense of courage we never knew we had. Risks make us leap into the unpredictable. They force us to pick up the pieces and start over, again. Risks also allow us to be free. And though the rewards can be great, they can also be costly. The greatest risks you may now face – without the full awareness of what is happening, internally and externally – could be your loss of time, value, and purpose.

So, what did you come here for?

We all want to know the answer to this mystifying question. We certainly didn’t ask to be here. Or did we? Somewhere, in the universe, we summoned our mere existence. Somewhere, in the universe, we were a piece of the puzzle to fill. And even though we all know people who have all the answers to all the questions, it seems wise to allow a little room for doubt. If we have too much confidence, life gives us a reason to rethink. Wisdom makes us feel assertive, ambitious and energetic. It can also make us egotistic. The wise soon learn to let the ego go and pick their campaigns carefully. Wisdom also creates in us an urge to boldly go where none have gone before.

So, where are you going? Do you know?

You were born to be wise. August Total Solar Eclipse has brought you a bulk of creativity to have honorable intentions. But today, you must turn those honorable intentions into a solid, achievable action plan. It’s time to consider the power of your impact on the planet. It’s time to listen for the answers. It’s time to embrace the imminence of the wonderful opportunity of being alive. It’s time to re-inject a sense of adventure, courage, and hope. It’s time to have a fresh approach to what may have felt like an arduous journey; it was never meant to contain this much struggle. This light, this life, this moment brings renewal, clarity, and new inspiration for you to choose from. Choose wisdom.

After all, what did you come here for?

love and light for your solar journey!
